The word has gone out about a couple of 2012 Sarob Press projects which I’ve not yet formally announced so I’d just like to mention that (subject to contracts, paperwork etc) I’ll be publishing the following volumes this year:

Still some copies left of this one … but don’t hang about if you want a copy – our last three titles sold out pre-publication or within a very few days of publication.

Finally, if all goes to plan, there’ll be a further Sarob Press book out before Christmas 2012 … volume 8 in the popular and collectable “Mistresses of the Macabre” series (edited & introduced by Richard Dalby) will be Not to be Taken at Bed-Time & other strange stories by Rosa Mulholland.

A Bracelet of Bright Hair by Jane Jakeman will (hopefully) be shipping early next week. The book has arrived in Wales from my printer and I'll be travelling from sunny France on Saturday 8th October to check, number and pack orders. I aim to post out all pre-publication orders on 11 October.

Sarob Press has decided to issue the recently announced A Bracelet of Bright Hair by JANE JAKEMAN in early/mid October – a month earlier than originally scheduled – and to slightly delay the originally scheduled “second” November title until December or (possibly – as the post can be quite tricky around Christmas) early January. I will shortly set the final print run for the Jakeman volume – so, if you've yet to order/reserve this book then please do so as soon as possible as pre-publication sales have been quite healthy and I'd hate for anyone to miss out. Our December/January book is nearing completion and will be announced in a very few weeks. Some of you may have been waiting for the second title announcement before ordering the Jakeman – please accept my apologies for any inconvenience.

Just a quick apology for the lack of posts. I've been madly busy working on the next Sarob Press title/s and renovating a small cottage (originally a ruin) in our grounds - indeed, the last fortnight to a month has been spent repairing walls and putting on a new roof (woodwork and slates) ... often seeing me falling asleep in front of the TV of an evening.

Sorry to be so slow updating … but it's been manic. The 150 copies we intended printing of Seven Ghosts and One Other sold out within three weeks of my announcing the book. And so I'm looking at increasing the print run to 200. Even with the increase the book looks to be a sell-out well before publication. Welcome to the SAROB PRESS blog and website. Although we originally closed in 2007 we have now decided to re-launch the press. We will shortly post details of our first title since we moved to northern France. Scheduled for early October 2010 is “Seven Ghosts and One Other”, a collection of Jamesian ghost stories by C.E.
