The book looks great as you
can see.
All pre-ordered copies have
now shipped.
Another quick seller… I
have just 3 copies (of a 300 copy run) left!!!
And I have just completed
work on the next exciting Sarob Press volume… the eagerly awaited “A SECOND GHOSTS & SCHOLARS BOOK OF FOLK
HORROR” (edited & introduced
by Rosemary Pardoe) will be announced
(with full contents/price/order/payment details etc) in a couple of months for
(I guess) a late October or early November publication.
It has a truly fabulous
dust-jacket painting by the ever brilliant Paul Lowe.
This will be quickly followed
in (probably) early February 2027 by “A THIRD
GHOSTS & SCHOLARS BOOK OF FOLK HORROR”.
Many thanks again everyone
for your continued support.

NEW TITLE NEWS: ANCIENT TRACKS
ANCIENT TRACKS: JOSH REYNOLDS
Sarob Press is pleased to announce the forthcoming publication of ANCIENT TRACKS.
Josh Reynolds has been writing professionally since
2007 and has short stories, audio dramas and novels in his back catalogue. In
other writers’ universes, he has written for Arkham Horror,
Legend of the Five Rings, Warhammer 40,000 and more.
Ancient Tracks contains nine stories all featuring intrepid
folklorist and adventurer Artemis Whitlock as she delves into strange folk
customs and weird and supernatural goings-on in 1920s England.
These are stories
firmly in the M.R. Jamesian tradition
with a great sense of place and time (so Jamesian
that Rosemary Pardoe, renowned M.R. James expert and head-honcho at Ghosts & Scholars, almost insisted
on providing a rather original introduction… alongside Josh… a sort of question
and answer that tells us a lot about Josh and his inspirations).
Artemis Whitlock is a
super creation and a fabulously original character and, alongside five
previously published tales (at least three of which will be ‘new’ to most), are
four all new Whitlock adventures.
If you’re looking for
really well-written Jamesian folk
horror tales then Ancient Tracks will
most definitely be for you. A roaring log fire, slippers, and something rather
special to hand in a large glass are, of course, entirely optional.
Stories: “Windlestraw*”, “Beating the Bounds” “He in the Tree”, “An Indefinite Kingdom”, “A Crooked Path”, “Waters Painted Red*”, “St Ulfhaugh”, “Via Maris*” & “Brinley Wood*” (*previously unpublished)
ANCIENT TRACKS will be a Hand Numbered Limited Edition Jacketed Hardcover.
Bound in Sand colour Cialux Italian cloth/linnen, Foil Blocked to Front & Spine in Black, Quality Enzo Creamy Text Paper, Marble/Print Design Endpapers, Section (Thread)-Sewn binding, Head/Tailbands and Ribbon Bookmarker. Approx 128pp including prelims etc.
Full Colour
Dust-Jacket Art and black & white frontispiece by the ever brilliant Paul
Lowe.
Publication currently
scheduled (loosely as always) for mid-late June 2026.

VOTIVE OFFERINGS ~ A TALE OF HERE AND GONE
I’m
really pleased with how this one has turned out. And even more pleased and
proud of the stories that Mark (Valentine), John (Howard), Peter (Bell) &
Colin (Insole) have written for me.
And the
dust jacket art by Paul Lowe is just amazing!
As
usual, the couriers took a whole week (and a day) beyond the promised delivery
date to eventually get the books to me… that’s what living “in the middle of
nowhere” gets you I guess!
It’s
been a really big task checking, numbering and packing the ordered copies!
Anyway,
after multiple post office visits, all ordered copies have, at last, been
posted.
And
Sara will be relieved to not have stacks of packed books ‘cluttering’ (her
word) up our salon.
VOTIVE
OFFERINGS is now SOLD OUT.
Cheers,
Robert.
